    15 february
hello loves! the activity check is now over and the inactive accounts have been deleted. as well, any threads that haven't been replied to since jamuary 25th have been archived.

after the activity check, the bans still remain on gryffindor and durmstrang students (for members that have two or more characters) we noticed while doing the ratios, that we really need: beaxbatons males, slytherin females and ravenclaws the sooner these character rations get higher, the sooner the band will be removed.

if you have an idea for one of the banned characters, keep in mind that durmstrang students can have personalities that fit them in one of the hogwarts houses and gryffindor students can be in beauxbatons because there is no "personality" to a beauxbatons student.

    xoxoxo, tytd staff.

Gods alive he hated his family. Now, he knew some people said that in a moment of anger or frustration and didn’t mean it. Some people got caught up in the moment but actually loved their family and would do anything for them. But Bennett Force meant it. He hated his family. Each and every single one of them. And they hated him back. Perhaps that was what had gotten them so popular in the first place. Their lack of empathy in the household translated into the real world and it was much easier to step over people out there if you could do it to your mother and father, brothers and sister. He blamed his parents most of all. They’d had kids because it was expected, not because they’d wanted any of them. If they’d had their way, they’d have gotten their mothers tubes tied immediately and gone on living like rich 20 somethings for the rest of their life. It’d have done them all a favor.

Normally he wouldn’t spend a spare thought on his family. They did what they had to, they crushed who they pleased and while at the house he kept to himself. But every now and again they were all required to leave the house. They were all required to play their roles and although they might not have liked each other, they understood the necessity of coming across as a strong, capable family. Bennett may not have liked all of these purist families about the place but if it was between them and his siblings, he’d pick the other Forces any day. There was an understanding amongst them all that what was best for the family was to keep on smiling. And no matter how much it agitated Benny, he kept those particular thought in his head. They were raging thoughts, agitated thoughts of wishing he could gouge his families eyes out with a ladle but at least he kept them to himself.

Today was a day where he had to sigh and buck up and do what he had to do. The Forces had been invited to an Art Gala, a swanky event that he’d tried to get out of but apparently the press would be there and would make note if any Force wasn’t in attendance. These things just weren’t for him. Kenny and Mer, yes, but not so much Benny. He got antsy and bored easily and if no one payed him too much attention he’d have all of the little crackers and cheese ate on the plate before they even circulated completely around the room. Even now he was staring at a painting that looked like a 5 year old could’ve done it eating pretzels and drinking his wine more like one might drink a beer than something that costs $50 a glass. The boredom had set in a long time ago but they still had a few hours yet to go. His eyes narrowed at the small golden plate below the painting. ‘Kinetic Abduction’ His nose scrunched up in clear confusion before he eye rolled, ”Art,” he scoffed, taking another drink and sticking his hand in his pocket, waiting on this entire event to be over with so he could get out of this hell hole.

There was nothing that Kenny Force hated more than art. Well, perhaps his family, but that was a way more complex web to untangle. Art was stupidity thrown onto a canvas and passed off as something magnificent. Kenny's understanding of art and artists was limited, which was why when he received the invitation from his parents demanding his attendance, he whined about it like a little girl who didn't get the dress she wanted most. "Must I be subjected to the dull droll of maniacal dimwits that insist on discussing how a splatter of paint reminds them of the loneliness that dwells within them? It's depriving me of much needed time to perfect this new project I am working on diligently." Kenny inquired, his bored look enough to convince his parents that he had a valid reason for not wanting to go. Honestly, he just wanted to go out to a party where his family was nowhere to be found and he could have fun. Perhaps he'd entertain that little brat's idea that she came anywhere close to being on his level physically, monetarily, or mentally. The idea was shut down entirely when his parents admonished that he was not at enough events to maintain the reputation he served to the masses on a silver platter. Did the world truly need to be reminded of the greatness that was Kenny Force? Of course he did, his parents agreed together, and the next thing he was aware of, a suit wrapped up fashionably was thrust in his face and he was expected to put it on without argument. Kenny got ready in his oversized room, taking his time in the hope that his parents would forget him and leave him behind so he could go and have real fun with his real friends. They didn't.

Kenny bumped arms with Evander on his way in, shooting his younger brother a glare beneath the convincing smile he plastered on for events his parents slung him along to. He was part of one of the most notoriously known and scandalous families, leading the group of siblings with his genius mind and his charming looks and his clear superiority. He was scandalous, but not nearly as bad as Benny and Evander because he kept his wits about him when outside of his home or someone else's home. The spotlight loved to travel over his toned physique and while he bathed int he compliments, he didn't try and jump into the scandals when they bounced along. He meandered the art museum and the event, making small talk that turned into praise for Kenny's greatness. Kenny was accustomed to it and it pumped the blood through his system, yet it bored him after a while. He could handle so much praise and then he became bored of others just beginning to acknowledge what a great being walked the planet, so he pretended to be extremely intrigued by an exhibit he didn't bother learning the name of, tilting his head slightly to experiment with if he could understand the art from another angle. None of it made sense, and it seemed it didn't make sense to the below average population, because Benny the Annoying joined him not a minute later.

"If you think that's art, you've proven me right. You are so simple minded it's humorous." Kenny scoffed in return, making his jab at Benny under his breath. The Force boys were under strict guidelines to behave to the best of their ability until they were behind closed doors, where they proceeded to let loose with their relentless banter. Kenny found a way to dig at his brothers' nerves without people noticing, giving him a glimpse of pleasure without prying it wide open and causing a scene for himself. "The only way i've found out of here is by causing a scene. Any actual bright ideas to get out of here untracked, Belinda? Or are you too busy fixing those curls and touching up that makeup while you sip girly wine to think of anything worth my time?" Kenny asked, finishing his last question as a photographer joined them, pressing for a photo, so Kenny stood close enough to Benny to be considered amicable but not too close so his decrepit brain cells didn't rub off on Kenny.

He wasn’t sure what he wanted to stab more. This piece of art in front of him or his brother who had just lurked around behind him with that air of over confidence oozing off of him. It just about made Bennett sick he could feel Kenny coming from a mile away. He wasn’t sure how much hate he harbored for his brother but he could venture to say it was enough to make a horcrux without even having to kill someone. And he wasn’t sure why. Kenny was a product of his surroundings just like he was. It wasn’t his fault that he was a chauvinistic asshole. But it was certainly his fault that he’d gone and turned it on his younger brothers who were also a byproduct of their parents worthlessness. But he dealt with him in times like this with sly sneers and well timed pranks to cause the other ill will. It couldn’t have been a good thing for Kenny to approach him here and now in public. That meant that they’d have to pretend to be civil just then and usually they stayed in separate sides of the room to avoid having to play the charade. He must’ve been desperate. Or bored. Or he had a plan to give Bennett hell. Either way, as soon as he heard the familiar voice sidling up to him, he tensed. ”Check the price tag, Kensie. That thing is worth more than your sorry life at the end of the day. Someone must put some value to it,” he said blandly. Not that he did and not that he wouldn’t judge the person who called this piece of shit priceless art but it was enough of a point to get a jab at his brother without calling too much attention to either of them which was always his goal. Even now he felt his skill crawl with distaste. But he still stood there and he still managed a smile as people shuffled about around them.

And then the real reason behind his brothers sudden appearance came to light. He flung an arm around Kenny knowing it would pain him to hold still and take it but the photographer ate it up as he mulled over his brothers request amid the harsh insults. Merlin did he hate being called fucking Belinda. But he hated this place even more. ”Maybe if you ask nicely,” he muttered back, giving the reporter a nod and a idle wave of his hand to signal that he ought to get lost now. They had “art” to gawk at after all. But for all of Kenneth’s smarts, even he had to admit that the one that would get them out of this place was Bennett. He was the more brash of the three brothers. The reckless one. The party boy who was quick on his feet when it came to a game plan. Scene causing was his forte. He swiftly looked around, taking a sip of his so called girly wine and peering around at the assembled group over the rim of his glass. Distraction…distraction….distraction.

”Bingo,” he said, his eyes zoning in on one homely looking lad who was working catering. His appetizer plate was shaking rather precariously and from the sweat coursing down the side of his face, it was rather obvious this was his first rather big and important social event. And the Forces had just zoned in on him. Poor guy. Bennett let out a sigh as if he really didn’t want to do this to the poor bloke. He’d probably get fired if not heavily reprimanded. Not that Benny actually gave a damn but he liked to reflect on it for a moment all of the same. The moment of silence over he turned to side eye at his brother and motioned silently to the selected victim. Then his eyes began to scan once more. Oh how he’d love to see that tray of frog legs fall right into Evander’s lap but then it’d be a Force issue and they’d have to stay. No, it had to be someone they didn’t give a damn about. Someone who would cause a scene in and of themselves. And then he saw her. A rather posh older looking woman who was simply soaking up the art exhibit in all of her tacky glory. The best part was, she was wearing all white. ”Shall I do the honors or would you like to?” he said simply, knowing that for as dull as Kenny was, he’d surely understand the premise of what was about to happen so they could make their great escape.

Kenny watched his brother tense at his arrival. It wasn't out of the ordinary between the brothers and even with their sister Royal, but in the public eye, it would surely signal that there were underlying issues that Kenny didn't need to have brought up to the idiots that relentlessly followed them around. They were hoping for a juicy tidbit of gossip from any of the Force family members, and prying with their eyes into the lives of each individual Force, hoping to find a flaw and gain the advantage for themselves. The last thing Kenny wanted was a public ordeal about the family breaking down and having sufficient evidence put towards backing that claim up. The gossip magazines that focused much of their time on the Force family could come up with some falsified item about himself or any of his family members without the aid of the real drama surfacing. He shifted so that it would cause Benny to move, a calculated move so he could creatively turn his head and speak through his teeth, preventing any lip readers from fully understanding him. "Look like you want to be here." His voice was low yet powerful, demanding that for once his brother listen and behave so that Kenny wouldn't have to partake in cleaning up Benny's mess for the hundredth time.

Kenny smirked at what his brother said to compare his net worth to the art piece. Clearly Benny was exhibiting just how little he knew about everything, and it would bring him great pride to remind his moronic brother of the genius he had honed. "Worth more than my life? I far surpass it now, or didn't you hear the news? My last idea made me fortunes." Kenny explained, his eyes lit up with the grand feeling of success that embraced him heartily. Everyone wanted to become a succubus to his fame and his fortune and the ideas within his mind when news surfaced in the way that it did. It was a pain at times to have to deal with people that simply wanted to have some of his limelight. "Ask nicely? It's not my job to kiss your ass." Kenny scoffed, breathing a sigh of relief that he wasn't aware was caged up within, the reporters making him more tense than he liked to confess.

Kenny allowed Benny to have his moment of imagination while he planned his own methods of escape from the dull lifestyle he lived. He ran a hand through his golden hair, a bunch of giggling girls swooning and waving to him, their eyes on any part of his body they could visually grab before they were out of view. Kenny gave them his best award-winning smile, contemplating whether to outright ditch Benny or to wait for him to make a huge scene so that Kenny could blame it on Benny and slide off to entertain the women. He longed for a challenge from a woman, for that was what enticed him most and kept that girl around as a fling. Benny shook him from his moment of pondering and looked at Benny, following his eyes and making the mental connection. Kenny spotted a step that Benny missed and solidified his plan of action. "I'll take this one. It's out of your league, Belinda." Kenny's voice was full of focus and determination, shooting his brother a victorious and proud look as he tapped down his wand, the jet shooting out from his wand. It connected and ricocheted off of the edge of a tray, carrying the exact angle to the tray of the shaky waiter. A tray of caesars with shrimp wrapped in pickle dumped onto the posh lady. She shrieked, the perfect distraction from the spell which carried on to ricochet one last time, heading for Evander. "Watch and learn from the master, Belinda." Kenny lowly advised, the jet stream of the spell connecting with Evander's glass, knocking over their mother, who in turn jumped and dropped her glass.

she was late - though not nearly as late as she would like to be. only ten minutes of the art gala had passed but she knew that she couldn't push it. her parents let her get away with nearly everything - after all, she was their baby, their princess, their angel. she was their only daughter, the apple of their eye that could do no wrong. they would ask why she was late certainly, but she would easily be able to feed them a line about needing to make her hair look just right, or not being able to chose what dress she had to wear and she would be forgiven because she was so thoughtful about what kind of impression they were trying to make at this event, whatever the gala was for. part of being powerful and wealthy was making appearances at these sort of things, where adults tried to sound cultured by discussing art and then eventually falling back into the conversations that felt comfortable to them - usually politics, even if the election for minister of magic was nowhere in sight - while the teenagers tried to get themselves drunk off the wine and champagne before their parents noticed how much they had. she didn't give a damn about art - it was all just something thrown on a canvas. she could submit her essay on the properties of dragon's blood to a gallery and then at least people would be looking at something of substance while they were trying to sound dignified. artists were just hippies trying to make money off of slathering some colours on a canvas and insisting that it had some greater meaning. of course, she was going to pretend that she loved it for her parents sake. everything she did was for her parent's sake, but they were the ones who were going to fund the shopping sprees that she was going to go on now that they were going to be living in europe. a new continent meant a new wardrobe, of course.

so she had dawdled for as long as she knew she could get away with and then she waltzed into the gala, fifteen minutes late. her grimace molded into a smile the second she stepped through the doors and quickly found her parents first, explaining her lateness to them with a well thought lie - she just couldn't decide between a floor length black dress or the knee-length green dress she was currently wearing - and they complimented her choice before sending her to her brother's with a message for them not to eat all the food - it was going to make them look like they didn't feed their children. so she headed over to wear they were, her smile fading away and being replaced with a judgmental look and accompanied with an eyeroll as she approached the boys that she was unfortunate enough to share a last name with. "it's obviously trying to capture the feeling of being alien in your own skin." she said, adding a meaning to the blob they were watching, before glancing up as kenneth shot a spell towards their mother, rolling her eyes once again. "do you need to be so childish?"

CRIMINAL TONGUES CONSPIRE AGAINST THE ODDS
but they haven't seen the best of us yet

evander had wanted to slit his own throat the very second that he’d been demanded to attend the stupid art gala by his parents. he actually would have if he knew that it wouldn’t give his siblings some sick satisfaction to see him dead and if it wouldn’t inconvenience everyone else. though that hadn’t stopped him from threatening it of course. he’d told his parents that he’d go upstairs and jump straight out of his bedroom window if they dared to force him to go to the idiotic event, but they knew that he wouldn’t do it. no matter how many times that he had threatened it, it was just a sham to weasel himself out of going and they knew it. even when he’d yelled and screamed and had knocked over an expensive lamp to watch it shatter into a scattered pile of glass, they had yet to budge on his mandatory attendance. his mother had just calmly fixed the lamp and told him to go upstairs and get ready because he was going no matter what he had to say about it. and so he had, but it hadn’t been done without his signature glare and his grumpy mumbling underneath his breath. he was unpleasantly surprised that they hadn’t budged on his attendance. normally if he threw enough of a fit and complained enough, they folded and gave in because they wanted him to shut the fuck up. he’d been complaining about going to the event for days now, but they’d seemingly just tuned him out to the point that they completely ignored what he said because he wasn’t getting out of it. he was going to have to suffer and put on his big boy pants and go no matter what he did. hell, he was sure that he could have fallen deathly ill and they would have still made him go.

apparently the press was going to be present and god forbid a force not be there to be apart of a few pictures with a gleaming smile planted premaritally on their face. his parents didn’t want to have to deal out bullshit excuses for one of their kids being there, but god, did they have to be so selfish? couldn’t they have just dealt with being absent a son? they had two others plus a daughter to make up for him, but it wouldn’t be the same without him there with them too his mother had said. and he knew that she was right. it wouldn’t be the same. the entire event would be missing out if he happened to be absent and he couldn’t dare think about that. especially when he knew that press would be there and his picture was going to be taken for a newspaper or two. it was just a few more clippings to add to his own little collection that he kept in a shoe box and that was what had really gotten him to stop his complaining (for now) and focus on getting ready. he couldn’t show up looking like an absolute mess. no, he had to look classy. he had to look put together. he had to look better than the rest of his siblings and, well, that really wasn’t hard to do at all. hell, he could wear a pair of sweatpants and a raggedy ole t-shirt and still look better than those fucking walnuts. only this wasn’t the type of event to prove that - though it wasn’t as if he did wear sweatpants and raggedy t-shirts. only the finest of the finest went on his body. he had sensitive skin after all and cheap fabric gave him the hives. he was actually pretty that he was allergic to it. it was quite a pity, but really, it wasn’t at all. he just liked to play around as if it was.

standing in front of the full length mirror in his closet, he straightened the bow tie around his neck and lowered his arms to take in the full picture. he looked mighty fine if he had to say so himself. fine enough to look better than the rest of the people that would surely be at this drab event. smoothing his hair once more, he finally went downstairs to apparate over with the rest of his family - though royal was seemingly absent, but he didn’t much care to why. she was a girl, after all. they were never on time, but neither was he really. he preferred to make a late entrance, but there was no way in hell that his parents would go without making sure that he was indeed there too. they knew that he wouldn’t apparate over on his own until the last hour of the event. maybe even the last thirty minutes at that, but better late than never is what he always said. they didn’t approve. as soon as they had entered the room, they all scattered away from one another without making it look as so. evander himself had picked up a glass of champagne and had hovered around a paint splattered painting until he’d migrated back to his mother. he’d been speaking to a man about the upcoming art line and how impressive it indeed was when suddenly he caught the light of the curse out of the corner of his eye. he hadn’t managed to move far before it hit, knocking his drink over in his hand to spill the liquid on to his sleeve and on his mother. his eyes narrowed into slits as he helped his mother stand straight again, apologizing for his shaky hand before excusing himself to go clean up. only he went straight for his siblings instead. ”are you serious?” he sneered at his brother’s, ”this is zegna!”

He always felt like he had to be this person. This ugly, horrific person. His siblings brought out the absolute worst in him, even when they made their points. Like now. Kenneth noted that Bennett most definitely needed to straighten up. His jaw clenched but he did as he was told, putting on a more welcoming face. If only so his older brother didn’t pinch him later or worse, complain to their parents. But then he had to go and act like he knew so much more about this stupid fucking art that it almost sent Benny back into a whirlwind, ”No I didn’t hear because I didn’t, and still don’t, give a damn,” he managed to say while still smiling pleasantly. It didn’t last for too much longer as he stepped in front of his brother and although he was notably shorter, he made sure his voice was just as hard pressed, ”It’s your job, and mine, to just get through this damned thing without causing too much chaos so play nice and shut the fuck up,” he said lowly. He stared his brother down a moment longer before stepping to the side, allowing his older brother to enact the plan that had somehow come to the both of them. Perhaps they had more of a brotherly bond than he gave them credit for because undoubtedly they were devising a plan to create a disturbance. Enough of one for them to slip out and leave unnoticed by anyone for awhile. For the love of Merlin he hated when he called him Belinda though but he let it slide for now. Normally that would’ve gotten Kenny an actual punch to the face after too many times. It drove Bennett up a wall.

And then chaos. Mass chaos. But it was the good kind because unlike the chaos that was dished out between Force siblings to each other which had casualties in far greater numbers, when the Forces worked together it was like a perfect symphony. Both Evander and their mother fell victim to it. A devilish smirk crossed his features at his brothers handiwork. But before he could enjoy it thoroughly, a flash of red and bronze caught the corner of his eye and he let out a small groan. ”There aren’t any cameras within 15 feet of here, Royal there is literally no reason for you to be standing next to me,” he said, pinching the bridge of his nose as he felt a migraine coming on just at the sight of her. Yes, his little sister wasn’t excluded from his hate. He hated them all equally. Feminism at its finest. Not to mention she was late. That would be noted. She probably tried to be so fashionably late but in Bennett’s opinion she had tried and failed at the one.

Now Evander on the other hand, well, his little brother was a sight to behold. He had a running theory that the kid ironed his underwear in the morning. He was currently having a hissy fit at the drink that had gotten on his suit and their mother in return. Bennett had to drop his head to hold in a laugh, ”What was that you said? It’s zebra? How exotic of you. But you’ll get over it. I’m sure you know some wonderful home remedy to get any stains out,” he said with an eye roll. And then he looked around. All four of them. Four crazy, sadistic, materialistic and basically every other horrible ‘ic’ you could think of, children and their two crazy parents not far away. He grimaced back over to Kenneth, ”Well there goes your great escape plan. You were supposed to get us out not bring these two idiots over to us. Look at us, one big happy family,” he said with a strained voice, downing the rest of his drink unceremoniously and motioning for another. He'd need it if he were going to be surrounded by the lot of them the rest of the time he was here.

Kenny watched his orchestra play out, his spells ricocheting off of every object he'd foreseen being in his way. Everyone was in a stir and patrons were talking, wondering who did it. Kenny pretended to be a part of it, people aside from his family oblivious to the fact that a Force disrupted everything in the room. He was proud, and he might have stood forth and proclaimed his honour for having succeeded if all of his siblings didn't arrive and make the scene for him. For four related siblings, Kenny realized he'd grasped onto all of the intelligence in the womb and left none for the others. All three of his siblings were too daft to understand that his plan was genius. Sheer genius! He admittedly could see where Evander was coming from by being appalled that his suit fell victim to the prank, but couldn't see why he had to shout about it. "Muffliato." Kenneth sounded more bored than confident when he muttered the spell, and the conversation fell mute to everyone aside from the four siblings.

"If you were at all holding something other than thin air underneath those curls, Belinda, you'd have noticed that while everyone looked at what was going on, both of us could have escaped unnoticed. It was until that big mouthed banshee shrieked about his feathers being ruffled in front of the entire room that we had a fair chance." Kenny explained, gesturing to the door first and then to Evander, side-eyeing Evander with a look of discontent. It was then that Royal arrived. He didn't particularly like any of his siblings, but it was Royal that shrugged underneath his skin the most. She seemed to want to be like him the most, trying to pry the spotlight out of his way and shine it on her, and her holier-than-thou attitude made her more hated than the rest by Kenny. He put on his best face for everyone else, but the two of them could argue and scream at each other and shake up the entire house until seperated. "Do you need to exist? Who are you, anyways?" Kenny shrugged her off like a bad habit and turned away from her, fighting the smirk that popped upon his mouth the second that Benny joined in on the argument against Royal. Even if he wanted to shave Benny's hair off to make him look at least somewhat acceptable, having someone on his side in the argument made everything easier on him.

Evander stormed over, declaring how important his outfit was, and Kenny laughed. He howled with laughter, but confined it within a normal looking laugh to disguise the fact that their conversation was more private than what people thought. Photographers and reporters always lurked, scouring for the juiciest tidbit. Kenny would not be the one to release information or any sort of tidbit into his family's life and give his parents reason to question him. "Zegna? That's so last year." Kenny mocked Evander with a smile and relentlessly mocked him further, knowing that his authority by default of age gave him some sort of upper hand. Nobody was save from the wrath of their siblings in the force family, even Kenny. Kenny just didn't let it get to him. "You have twelve other suits of the same make in your closet, right next to your silk bras you hide from everyone. Cool off before you cause even more of a scene. You're already probably grounded from everything you love for a solid two weeks." Kenny explained with a bored look, shaking his head at his brother. You had to hand it to the Force family. They knew how to make siblings look like mortal enemies.

growing up, royal had always hated being the only girl in her family. while it had benefited her by getting her parents wrapped around her finger, her childhood had been a lonely one. she never had anything in common with her three brothers and as they grew older, the lack of a common interest to bond over had left her despising the three of them because they didn't understand things the way she did. of the three of them, evander was the only one who seemed to understand that their family had an important reputation to retain and that they needed to be on their best behavior in public so they wouldn't draw negative attention to themselves. kenneth and bennett seemed to constantly go out of their way to be idiots and it was something that drove her up the wall because it always ended up back lashing on the entire family. she hated having her mother send her to watch over them at these parties when she could be speaking to fine, attractive, pureblood men. instead she was sitting here with two boys who thought knocking over classes was proper in this scenario, and were eating so much that it looked like they were malnourished at home. it was an incredibly bad picture of their family, and she wanted no part of it. unfortunately, she had no choice in the matter. she had been born the only female force and there was nothing she could do about it. she only wished that she could have had sisters instead of brothers. there was no doubt that she would have liked her siblings more if they understood a little more about what it meant to have class...or even manners, for that matter.

she rolled her eyes as her brothers greeted her, wishing just as much as them that she didn't have to be there. if they thought they didn't like her, she could assure that she despised them more. while she had never done anything to them except be a mild annoyance and a reminder that people were watching them, they were an embarrassment. she couldn't wait until the exchange began because living with some random family couldn't be as terrible as putting up with her brothers every day. plus, her father had told her that the monroe's had three daughters in addition to their son. surely she wouldn't mind at least one of them. "there may not be cameras, but our mother is standing twenty feet away and she is watching." she responded with a roll of her eyes, knowing that their mother's judgment could be nearly as awful as bad publicity. she glared at kenneth before adding her two cents in over her brother's ruined suit, "looks like a knock off. you're better off without." she said to evander, her mother giving her a look as though it was her fault that she couldn't control her brothers. why was the youngest one in charge of keeping them in check anyway? what was she supposed to do with a group of rowdy boys?

CRIMINAL TONGUES CONSPIRE AGAINST THE ODDS
but they haven't seen the best of us yet

this entire fiasco was a complete and utter joke. one, however, that wasn’t as amusing as evander’s brothers seemed to find it to be. it was embarrassing and tactless and frankly had ruined darla (yes, he indeed did name each and every one of the suits that he owned) in the process. the second that the spell had bounded off of his champagne glass to send the content all over not only himself, but as well as his mother, his blood had begun to slowly boil. it was one thing to act like a bastard at the force manor (seeing as it was behind the closed doors of their own home), but it was another to act like so in public. there were cameras and journalists crawling the gala area in search of the latest story and to seek the hottest (yet most humiliating) picture of the night. so, the last thing that evan needed was to be shot in the midst of the largest faux pas of his life that hadn’t even been done by his own accord. yet he seemingly had been and what credit there was to be offered was to go to his idiotic siblings. at first when the drink had toppled over, he’d thought that no one had realized what had happened, but the flash of a camera had told him differently. he knew that it certainly hadn’t been one of his brother’s shooting off another spell since they were too busy giggling to get one out so that left one thing. a camera. it was a lucky shot seeing as both he, his mother, and the man that they had been conversing with had cleaned up their act almost instantly and hadn’t made that big of a deal out of it. drinks spilled all of the time as accidents did happen. they just didn’t spill all over expensive clothing and pretentious family members due to stupid siblings wanting a good laugh. he realized that the gala might not have been the most exciting thing ever, but he had the duty of acting like it was. he knew that his family had a reputation to uphold and that he was more than willing to protect their brand from tarnishing. it was just so hard to do that when his siblings didn’t have the same exact mind set and he was always pulling their dead weight. though he had to admit that royal was a little different. they were more on the same brain wave than any of the rest as they were the ones that actually knew how to act correctly. they both had class and manners and were capable of holding their heads high to produce a good image for the forces. all that kenneth and bennett knew how to do was pick their noses and wipe their boogies all over the walls and giggle like two year olds while doing so. they didn’t know the first thing about how to properly act and it was absolutely shameful to even admit to anyone that they were family.

when he’d been younger, he’d denied and denied and denied that they were blood related to anyone outside of being important. he didn’t want to be related to them much less associated because then people began to think that he was like them and he wasn’t. he was far from it and now that they were all older, it was quite clear. that was why he’d stopped denying them sharing the same blood - though when he did agree nowadays, it was said with a cringe. that was something that would never go away. huffing out a breath, he glared at his two brothers as they made their disgraceful remarks and teases about darla. she was not only one of his best suits, but also one of his oldest (though she was certainly still quite in style). now he was going to be forced to put her into early retirement because of them and he was angry. ”she’s not last year. she’s in the spring catalog, you baboon.” he snarled, his tone laced with his distaste. ”and nothing goes on my body that is a knockoff. i'm allergic.”
